Our toothbrush handles include EcoPure®, an organic additive that helps the material break down much faster in landfills compared to regular plastic. Microbes are able to digest the material and convert it into natural elements like water, CO₂, and organic matter over time. It’s a much safer end-of-life option than conventional plastics.
Polyolefin materials using EcoPure have been tested via ASTM D5511 to show 40.2% biodegradation over 385 days of testing compared to the same polyolefin material without EcoPure showing 3.2% biodegradation over the same testing period.
