When should I start brushing my baby's teeth?

Start cleaning the baby's teeth when they appear. At 18 months, you can start using a pea-sized amount of zero-fluoride toothpaste, such as RADIUS’ Organic Children's Coconut Banana Toothpaste. Encourage your child to spit out toothpaste, but not rinse. Before the first tooth comes, you can gently wipe your baby's gums using a damp, clean towel or gauze, a couple times a day.
